Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies aiapplied.uk uses, why, and how you can change your mind at any time. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make the site work. Others help us understand how the site is used. We also use your browser’s local storage in one place, described below, which works in a similar way.

Strictly necessary

aia_consent — records the cookie choice you made on this site so we do not ask you again on every page. Set by us. Expires after 12 months. This one is set whichever option you choose, because without it we cannot remember that you said no.

WordPress session and login cookies — only set if you log in to the site as an administrator or author. They are not set for ordinary visitors.

Analytics — only with your consent

If you choose “Accept all”, we load Google Analytics 4 through the Site Kit by Google plugin. It tells us which pages get read and roughly where visitors come from, so we can write about the things people actually want. It sets cookies beginning _ga, which typically last up to two years, and data is processed by Google. If you choose “Reject non-essential”, these are not loaded.

Booking page

Our booking page embeds Microsoft Bookings so you can pick a time without leaving the site. Microsoft sets its own cookies in that embedded frame to run the scheduler and protect it from abuse. Those cookies are Microsoft’s, not ours, and are covered by the Microsoft Privacy Statement. If you would rather not load them, you can email us at support@aiapplied.uk and we will arrange a time by hand.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run retargeting pixels, and we do not sell or share your browsing data with third parties for marketing.

Changing your choice

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your answer. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings, which will reset your choice and make the banner appear again.
